Going to the doctor can be a scary experience for some. Being told you need to have a surgical procedure can be crippling. And hearing you have a chronic condition can be devastating. Our minds instantaneously start processing emotions of fear, anxiety and worry. We think, who will take care of it all if we can’t?
These are the moments I feel our healthcare system fails us. We don’t do enough to address these moments in time that can be of the most impact. It’s not necessarily the lack of desire by providers, it’s the way our healthcare system is designed. We live in a world that pushes for more. Higher volumes, mean more profits and the end result is less face to face time with providers.
I would like to help bridge that gap. I want to be part of the change that allows providers to meet patients needs. My goal of this blog is to provide useful information to get your through the healthcare hurdles. I want to supplement emotional, spiritual and holistic care that may be lacking in traditional care.
We all process information differently, based on life experiences, culture, upbringing and ourselves. My goal of this blog is to meet you where you need it.
